How This Calculation Works
Required flow = pool volume ÷ turnover time. Required filtration area = required flow ÷ the reference filtration rate of the selected media (sand 25, cartridge 1, DE 3.7 m³/h per m² — the conservative end of each commonly cited range — or the manufacturer’s figure if you choose Custom). The recommended filter diameter is that of a circle with the required area.
